My very first blog post will be about Mount Shasta, a very special place to me. Since I was a child, Mount Shasta has served as a second home for me. My grandparents live there, and my family used to visit them every summer and during the holidays. My parents now have their own second home there. Mount Shasta is a magical place. It's amazing to see all of the different seasons there. Summers are scorching, but there are beautiful lakes and waterfalls to cool off in. During the winter, all of the trees are covered in snow and it's freezing, which is very beautiful. Here's a photo of Mount Shasta from last winter when I was there.
This next image was captured during my summer trip to Mount Shasta last year. I went up with two of my friends friends and both of my brothers last summer. The weather was perfect, and the lakes were stunning. Our friends there had a boat that we were able to use to go lakeboarding on and explore the lakes. there are so many differnet lakes and they are all so different. the water temperatures chnage greatly from lake to lake as well as the visibility. Some of the lakes are warm and pretty blue, while others are colder and brown. This photo of my brother was taken at Lake Shasta, which was my favorite of the places we visited.
This waterfall photograph was taken during a fall hike with my mom in Mount Shasta. This was my first time on this hike, and I was blown away by how beautiful it was. The journey to this hike was well worth it.The yellow and orange trees added to the beauty. This was my first visit to Shasta in the fall. It was breathtaking to see a place that has four distinct seasons. Seasons do not change as dramatically in SB as they do in Shasta. Although it was a bummer that it wasn't hot enough to swim in this waterfall, it was still a beautiful sight to see. I can't wait to return in the summer to finally swim in this waterfall.
