I was just scrolling through my camera roll this week to get some writing topic ideas when I came across many baby pictures, so I decided to make this week's blog post about my childhood and pictures of me from my childhood. To provide some context, during the time of these photographs, my parents were still married and we all lived together. It was just me, my twin, Hayden (my older brother), and my two parents during this time. This first photo is of me and my twin brother Griffin shortly after I had stitches.I was very young, and my dad had just installed a sliding gate for our driveway that slid along a sharp piece of metal that I happened to fall right on and split my forhead open. I had to get sticthes and still have a scar there to this day.
This next photo was taken at my first home with both of my brothers. On the left is my twin brother Griffin, in the middle is me, and on the left is Hayden, my oldest brother. This image accurately depicts our personalities. Griffin was distracted by his gaze off into the distance. And me making the same expression I always make when I'm forced to pose for a photo. Then there's Hayden, who is as chaotic as ever, but also creative.
This is my absolute favorite photo of my twin brother. This photo brings back so many memories. This photo was taken at my grandparents' home in Mount Shasta, and you can see our old VW bus in the background. We had a love-hate relationship with that car. It was cute and fun for adventures, but it had a habit of breaking down on us. I wish my parents still had that car. We drove that car up to Shasta every summer, and I remember loving it because it had a place for us to watch movies while we drove. and it's a LONG drive. When there is no traffic, the trip takes about 9 hours. However, after doing it so many times, it feels much shorter. I'm not sure how that car got up there every summer.
